Queensland runs plumbing licensing on two levels: an occupational licence for whoever performs the work, and a contractor licence for the business that accepts the job. The QBCC grants both.
The occupational licence proves the holder's trade skill. The contractor licence proves the business behind the job is sound and able to run it properly.
Each class of work then sits on its own licence:
Plumber-class work
takes in the pipes and fixtures on the property, except jobs needing a separate endorsement.
Drainer-class work
